Topic #3 - Favorite TV Show

What was your concept for this site?

I wanted to continue with the style they've already established with their show and site from MTV.com. I also wanted to try a similar yet different layout by using the argyle style.

I wanted to try an argyle style because it's fresh, clean (if used the right way) and it is something different from my other two layouts.	I thought to use their logo and picture in the header and the navigation on the left. I also thought it would be cool to have my favorite episode ready to play.	In this layout I thought it would be cool to have an image of them on each side and place the text between them for the impression of the box.

Which design did you choose and why?

The design I chose is really a combination of the second and third drawings. I didn't want to over-crowd the header with images so I decided to use the image in the 'cast' section. Then, I liked the idea of the flash navigation and I wanted to try to be creative with the body text and the background of that. I also wanted to use the complimentary color scheme.

What changes did you make to your revision and why?

The big change I made was in the navigation; I took out the flash element and placed the nav along the shape of the swoosh and decided to use one of the stars as the rollovers. I also threw the wite text box back using the transperency which in turn brought the text up visually, and I also increased the size for the "About the show" section. The last piece I changed was the Jump menu; instead of being up in the middle of no where, it is now near my favorite episode section so that you can jump to a certain episode you enjoy.
