What was your concept for this site?

My initial thinking for the site, while I was searching through his galleries, was the style of comic books. The use of bubble thoughts, colors, and sketchy style characters. Also, since we were designing the biography page that the main "attention-grabber" would be a lare self-portrait of Wieringo, so going throughout the designs you'll find those consistant as well as the exciting imagery.

With this layout I wanted to try a grayscale version to resemble his style of sketching.	With this version of the layout I wanted to try more of a comic book style. I wanted to try to incorporate the bubble thought and give it vibrant colors as in a comic.	In this layout I wanted to use black, white, and color. I also wanted to use the navigation in a different way.

Which design did you choose and why?

I chose the first design to redefine because it had the most possibilities. I felt the way I collaged the images was visually pleasing, simple, and easy to navigate through.

What changes did you make to your revision and why?

I added color highlights to certain images, I took the bold off the body copy, and I shrunk the size of the navigation. Making these changes helps the eye move through the site.
